Fox Sparrow

I always consider myself lucky to see a Fox Sparrow in our feeder area for it is non-resident bird, stopping over only for a few days to feed, while enroute further north to its nesting grounds. I may get another glimpse of Fox Sparrows in the fall when they are passing through our region again enroute to their wintering gounds further south. The Fox Sparrow is one of our largest sparrows.

Fox sparrows are so much fun to watch! Glad you had a chance to photograph them! They are always one step away from me getting that perfect shot!
